Introduction of New Employees:
Nancy Edwards introduced the new Circulation Supervisor, Cheryl Carroll. Cheryl has worked in the library as part time reference librarian since 2006. She was hired as Circulation Supervisor in February, 2011.
Guest: Wade Larson presented the wellness program for FY2012. The wellness program is designed to provide resources to employees and their families that will help to encourage greater health and wellbeing. Participation in the wellness program is optional. This year the wellness program provides several options for you to build a wellness program that fits your needs. The program has three steps:
Step 1. Choose your deductible
Employees are able to choose their deductible by the wellness activities in which they
participate. The standard deductible will be $1500/employee and $3000/employee + 1 or more dependents. In order to receive the lower deductible of $1000/employee and $2000/employee +1 more dependents you must:
- Complete the online health risk between April 18 – May 20, 2011.
- Complete the tobacco use affidavit and indicate that you do not use tobacco.
Step 2. Building Blocks of Wellness
The next leg of the incentives includes some basic steps to wellness. Incentives will be provided specifically for completing the annual physical exam, taking education course, and engaging in fitness activities.
Step 3. Customizing your Wellness Journey
The third part of the program is to select the activities and programs that work for you. Several options will be available from which employees may choose how to obtain the remainder of their incentives. Knowing that each person is different, the program will allow employees to customize their journey to wellness.
The Wellness Program will offer many great options for employees and their dependents in the coming year. Details about the program will be available after July 1st.
Wade also mentioned that benefits open enrollment is April 18 – May 20 and that the Benefits Fair will be on April 26.
