Tech Prep - Advanced Learning Partnership
High school Professional Technical courses that are determined to be equivalent to college Professional Technical courses are called Tech Prep. Since Tech Prep courses are high school courses, students may start earning college credit at a significant savings. Tech Prep gives you a head start on your technical degree by eliminating unnecessary repetition of courses. As you earn college credit through Tech Prep classes at your high school, you will save time and money.
Purpose
The primary purpose of the Region I Advanced Learning Partnership (ALP) is to:
1. Promote and support linkages between secondary and postsecondary professional-technical education programs.
2. Improve academic integration through a coherent sequence of courses and alignment of curricula.
3. Facilitate the transition to baccalaureate degree programs.
4. Develop and support local and statewide articulation agreements
