What
This is the 6th annual NICHALLENGE.  This year’s course is sure to be as challenging and beautiful as ever.  We’ve combined our experience with the comments and suggestions from past racers in order to put on a great event.

There will be two courses this year (short and long).

 Activities Short Course  Long Course 
Trail Run  1-3 miles  4-6 miles 
Mt. Bike  6-8 miles  15-20 miles 
Paddle  0.5-1 miles  2-3 miles 

  • Special Challenges: Both courses
  • Short and long course racers should finish in 4-6 hours. 
Course details such as route, order of events, and special challenges will not be disclosed until 10 minutes prior to the race start; thus insuring the “adventure spirit” of the NICHALLENGE.

Who:

The NICHALLENGE is primarily a team race. Teams can consist of two or four people, male, female, or coed. All members must complete all legs of the race TOGETHER. However, a solo division has been added this year for those who are unable to convince any of their friends to race with them.

We’re Teaming Up with Adventure Sports Week!



To encourage our local racers to participate in both events, the ASW crew is prepared to offer anyone who is registered for the NICHALLENGE $20 off any of the ASW adventure races or $10 off any of the other (24!) events.
In return, Outdoor Pursuits will refund all NICHALLENGE racers who participated in any ASW event $10 cash on race day.

This means that if you register early and participate in ASW you will race in the NICHALLENGE for $60/person! GO FOR IT!
