Add a class
Follow these steps to add a class to your course schedule
- Log into MyNIC
- Select Self Service
- Select Student Planning
- Go to My Progress. The My Progress page will display all the courses required for your active program.
If you know the name of the class you would like to add:
- Go to Search for Courses at upper right-hand side of page, type the class name, and Search
- The search results will display; find the correct course and click Add Course to Plan.
- When the Course Details box appears, scroll down to the Select a Term box and choose a Term from the drop down options.
- Click Add Course to Plan to save the course to the specified term.
- Click Back to My Progress to return the My Progress page.
- In My Progress, go to Student Planning and choose Plan & Schedule.
- Your planned classes are listed on the left. To choose the section of the class want, filter Open Sections and click View Other Sections.
- Choose the section that fits your schedule and click on Add Section button. This will add that specific section to your schedule.
- Finally, register for the class. Go to the upper right-hand side of the page, above the calendar, and click Register Now.
If you do not know which class you would like to add, locate a class by finding an incomplete GEM or program requirement and then searching for course options"
- Click Search in the course box.
- Review the listed course options and choose the course you would like to add
- Click Add Course to Plan
- When the Course Details box appears, scroll down to the Select a Term box and choose a Term from the drop down options.
- Click Add Course to Plan to save the course to the specified term.
- Click the Back to My Progress to return the My Progress page.
- In My Progress, go to the upper left corner and go to Student Planning and choose Plan & Schedule.
- The classes are listed on the left. To choose the section of the class you are adding, click on View Other Sections.
- Click on the section that fits your schedule, a Section Details box will come up, click on the Add Section button.
- This will add the specific section to your schedule.
- Finally, register for the class. Go to the upper right-hand side of the page, above the calendar, and click Register Now.
