Who can attend NIC Workforce Training Center (WTC) classes?
Classes are open to everyone. Unless otherwise specified, class content is designed for adult students over the age of 18. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.How do I register for classes?

In-Person: Register and pay for classes during business hours. We accept Cash, Check, Visa & Mastercard. You can register at multiple NIC locations: Workforce Training Center, Coeur d’Alene Campus (Business Office), or the Sandpoint Outreach Center.
What is your Refund Policy?
North Idaho College values its students! The Workforce Training Center is committed to excellence by providing high-quality workforce development programs and leisure learning classes.
To withdraw your registration and receive a full refund, you must notify the Workforce Training Center office at least three full business days before the class starts. Your full registration fee will be refunded, transferred to another class, or you will be issued a voucher for a future class.
If you are enrolled in a course that costs $150 or more and not satisfied after attending a maximum of eight hours of class or two sessions, you may request a partial refund, credit voucher, or transfer to another course. Credit vouchers will not be issued to students participating in a payment plan or utilizing loan funds. Credit vouchers must be used within one year and cannot be cashed in for a refund after issuance.When should I register for a class?
Unless otherwise noted, registration is open until each class is filled or until four days before each class starts. We encourage you to register early as many classes fill prior to the start date. Class size is limited to ensure the highest quality instruction. Classes with low enrollment may be canceled. To ensure your place in the class of your choice, and to ensure that the class is offered, it’s best to register as early as possible.
Are there prerequisites for WTC classes?
Prerequisites apply to some courses/classes. Check course descriptions or contact Customer Service at 208-769-3333What about textbooks?
If the course description indicates:- Includes Textbook: Your textbook cost has been included in your tuition and you will receive your text at the first class.
- Textbook Optional: A textbook is not required, but will be available for you to purchase before the first class.
- Textbook Required or Extra: A textbook is required and needs to be purchased before the first class.
If a fee for supplies or materials is listed in the class description, when do I pay it?
Pay materials fees in cash directly to the instructor at the beginning of the first class meeting.Is there out-of-state tuition?
There is no additional charge for enrolling students who are not Idaho residents. This waiver applies only to credit-free classes offered by the Workforce Training Center.Why are classes canceled?
Every effort is made to offer all advertised classes. Credit-free courses are self-supporting (not subsidized by State monies), and all course-related expenses are paid from student registration fees. Courses that do not reach a minimum student enrollment are subject to cancellation. If this should happen, you will be notified by telephone and every effort will be made to transfer you to another section, find an alternative course, or process your refund in full.How do I receive a duplicate certificate?
The cost of a duplicate certificate is $10 each. You can receive a duplicate certificate for a WTC class you completed by contacting Customer Service at (208) 769-3214.* Exception: The Assistance with Medications class must have been completed within the past (5) years from the end date of the class to receive a duplicate certificate.
