Sterling Silver Award
About the Award
The North Idaho College Employee of the Month Sterling
Silver Award is a wonderful way to identify and recognize NIC staff and faculty who demonstrate exceptional performance and give more to the college community than is normally expected.
The award is given each month with the Sterling Silver Committee making
the final selection. All employees are eligible to receive the award,
regardless of time of service. Students, faculty, and staff may all make
nominations. Employee nominations will stay active for one year from the
time the first nomination was received; or when they are awarded the
Sterling Silver, whichever comes first. Each month, the most outstanding
nomination will be chosen by the Sterling Silver Committee.
The winner of the Sterling Silver Award will be congratulated with a surprise presentation by members of the Sterling Silver Committee, NIC president, fellow employees, students and a representative of Numerica Credit Union.
The Sterling Silver recipient will receive the following at the presentation:
- $100 cash, presented by Numerica Credit union
- A recognition plaque, provided by NIC
- A copy of the nomination form, provided by NIC
- A campus parking space of recipients choice for one month, provided by NIC
- A $50 gift card presented by Numerica Credit
At the beginning of each school year, we award 2 employees with a $100.00 gift cards. We draw 2 names from the list of employees who nominated a Sterling Silver winner from the past school year. This is an incentive to get employees to nominate fellow employees. Numerica Credit Union sponsors the program and will be providing the gift cards.
