“The Few” tells the story of Bryan, who, four years ago, abandoned his labor of love, a newspaper for truckers. Now he's returned - with no word of where he's been - and things have changed.
“The Few” was praised for its "unusual insight into, and empathy for, people whose lives have settled into sad stasis, or strategic withdrawal."(The New York Times)
“The Few” is directed by NIC theatre student David Fisher.
This is one of two plays written by Hunter that are set in North Idaho and being presented this month by the NIC Theatre Department. The other play, a “A Permanent Image,” was performed virtually on April 15, 16 and 17.
“The Few” contains mature themes and language, and references to suicide. It is intended for mature audiences.
“The Few” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc. www.concordtheatricals.com.
