Drive-Thru Arbor Day Celebration at NIC
Community members are invited to a Drive-Thru Arbor Day Celebration at North Idaho College on Saturday, May 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will take place on the main campus, 1000 W. Garden Ave., Coeur d’Alene. Once on campus, vehicles should follow the signs.
The first 500 attendees will receive a free tree. Tartarian maples and ponderosa pines will be handed out by members of the NIC Facilities team and the college’s student athletes.
There will be raffles, prizes and free Arbor Day stickers. This event is planned in partnership with the City of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Parks and Recreation, the U.S. Forest Service, the Idaho Department of Lands, the Arbor Day Foundation and Bartlett Tree Experts.
Recognizing Arbor Day is part of NIC’s ongoing commitment to sustaining healthy, community trees and supporting student involvement in those efforts. NIC is recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Campus USA.
