NIC to hold auditions for 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

The North Idaho College Theatre Department is holding open auditions for ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ by William Shakespeare at 6 p.m. on Jan. 25 in Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center on NIC’s main campus in Coeur d’Alene.

Auditions are cold readings and no prepared material will be required.

The openings are for at least seven women playing early 20s to 30s and for up to 13 men playing early 20s to late 30s or early 40s.

‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ is one of Shakespeare’s most fun and popular comedies featuring mixed-up lovers, mischievous sprites and sparring couples.

Production dates are April 14-16 and 21-23. Rehearsals begin on Jan. 31.
