NIC and partners raise money for local cancer fund
North Idaho College participated in the Coaches vs. Cancer campaign on Saturday, Jan. 29 while hosting basketball competitions between North Idaho College and Yakima Valley College. The college partnered with the NIC Booster Club and Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty in a fundraising effort to support Kootenai Clinic Cancer Services.
All proceeds associated with the game including revenue from admission tickets, concessions, and half-time activities, along with Coldwell Banker Schneidmiller Realty’s $500 donation built up a total of $1,706 for the Kootenai Health Foundation to put toward their cancer services.
“We are grateful to everyone who participated in this event and for donating to the cause,” said NIC Athletic Director Shawn Noel.
