Community invited to Day of Dialogue

Stephy Nobles-Beans
The public is invited to North Idaho College’s 9th annual Day of Dialogue from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 13. This year’s event will be virtual and will feature keynote speaker Stephy Nobles-Beans.
Nobles-Beans will share tools to help build a flourishing community in a presentation titled “Purposeful Positivity: Building Connection by Flipping the Conversation.”
Nobles-Beans is the associate chaplain for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ministries at Whitworth University in Spokane. She has been at Whitworth University for more than 25 years and teaches diverse Christian leadership to undergrads, and diversity, equity and inclusion in Whitworth’s graduate leadership program.
She is an accomplished self-published author, writer and poet who loves the spoken word. She preaches in the chapel each semester in addition to mentoring students and sharing the word of God with them.
Building relationships with others and collaborating and networking to see how others can work together to bring about change, peace and harmony are Nobles-Beans’ missions. Many on campus know her as “Mama Beans.”
Women of the Year awards will be presented during the Day of Dialogue.
