NIC to present a Spring Choral concert May 3
North Idaho College will present a Spring Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 in Boswell Hall Schuler Performing Arts Center on NIC’s main campus in Coeur d’Alene.
This concert will feature the NIC Cardinal Chorale and NIC Chamber Singers performing music by Richard Rodgers, Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Rollo Dilworth and regional composer Reginald Unterseher of Richland, Washington.
“We are looking forward to the last concert of an amazing year for our choirs," NIC Director of Choirs Max Mendez said. “This concert will be a celebration of many different genres. From the great tradition of the Renaissance Madrigal to American Musical Theatre, there will be something for everyone.”
Mendez celebrates his 17th year as Director of Choirs at North Idaho College. Under his direction, choirs have traveled to Mexico City, San Francisco and New York City to perform. In addition to the Cardinal Chorale and Chamber Singers, Mendez also directs NIC’s commercial music ensemble called Cardinal Voices.
The NIC Choirs and Instrumental ensembles are comprised of NIC students, faculty, staff and community members.
