The Carpentry and Construction Technology Program provides students with experience to fit educational and professional goals geared towards an entry-level career as a carpenter. This program is an eleven-month program and involves actual jobsite experience constructing the NIC Carpentry Program's Project House. Coursework includes theory and lab focused on residential construction.

Successful completion of each semester or permission of the instructor is required to continue into successive semesters. Students are encouraged to continue their education by completing either the Construction Management A.A.S. career and technical or A.S. transfer degree. Placement in specific English and math courses is determined by the college assessment test. Prospective students who do not meet the initial eligibility requirements will need to take selected courses to receive necessary skill building prior to entering the program.
