Q. Where can I find Canvas information?
A. For information on how to design your course, record a video, create your syllabus, record a zoom or any educational technology available in Canvas visit the Canvas Essentials for Instructors. If you need further assistance, contact the Office of eLearning at (208)665-5095 or email elearning@nic.edu.
Q. Who do I send students to for help?
A. For technical assistance, have students contact the NIC Help Desk at (208) 769-3280 or helpdesk@nic.edu. For assistance learning to use Canvas, have students access the self-paced student training site Canvas Essentials for Students, which they can access at anytime.
Q. Is there a mobile app for Canvas?
A. You can access Canvas on your phone or tablet using a browser app, such as Safari or Chrome. You can also install the free Canvas and Canvas Teacher apps on your mobile devices.
When you start the app for the first time, you will need to enter North Idaho College's name as the campus. NIC's Canvas URL is https://nic.instructure.com/. However, once you have entered the name in one app, Canvas will remember your login in every app and you will not have to login again.

Q. If a student is missing from my Canvas course who do I contact?
A. Contact the NIC Help Desk at (208) 769-3280 or helpdesk@nic.edu.
Q. How often are students enrolled in Canvas from MyNIC?
A. Students are added to Canvas within a few minutes of adding or dropping a class in self-service.
Q. How do I restore pages or assignments I have accidently deleted from my Canvas course?
A. In your Canvas course, select the Home page for the course you need to restore pages. In the URL for the course you will need to type in forward slash undelete(/undelete), then select the enter key. A page will open listing all the items that have been deleted. You will need to select the restore button for those items you want to recover. If you need further assistance please contact the Office of eLearning at elearning@nic.edu.
Q. Where do I find information about how to order a textbook from the Follett bookstore?

Q. What time zone is NIC's Canvas running on?
A. Pacific Standard Time. However, if you are traveling to another time zone, Canvas will adapt your due date and time to that time zone.
