Providing a Safe Environment
In order to make our space as safe as possible, SWRC Staff will:
- Increase cleaning protocols
- Disinfect all high traffic and touch areas
- Operate on a block schedule to clean the facility
- Provide spray bottles and microfiber towels to patrons as they walk in
- Follow Safety Precautions
- Require all staff and patrons to wear face masks
- Add shield guards to front desk area
- Monitor staff health
- Require Social Distancing
- Limit the number of people in the facility and designated areas
- Enforce social distancing of 6+ feet
- Move equipment to help members stay socially distanced from one another
- Minimize Contact
- Check in using our card scanner
- We will wipe off our signature capture device between each person
- Sinks, toilets, paper towels, and hand sanitizers are all automatic
- Limiting our basketball court to one person per hoop
- Shutdown towel service and equipment checkout at the front desk
- Keep our NIC Community updated with latest updates
- Updates provided through NICNow, email, announcements in the facility, etc.

Guidelines for Members
We ask all members and patrons to do the following:
- Have your mask on and Cardinal Card in hand before entering the SWRC
- Grab a spray bottle and microfiber towel to wipe off equipment BEFORE and AFTER use
- Maintain social distance and please workout alone
- Please leave the area when we are preparing to clean
- Wear your face mask at all times in the SWRC, even during workouts
- Practice good hygiene:
- Wash hands and use hand sanitizer frequently
- Avoid touching face
- Cover mouth when sneezing or coughing
- Stay home if you are not feeling well
- Bring your own water bottle, sweat towel, and personal equipment

How the SWRC is different
- The SWRC has a max capacity and SWRC staff will be monitoring the number of people in the building
- We are not checking out equipment from the front desk - basketballs, volleyballs, bands, foam rollers, etc.
- Locker rooms will now be fully operational. We will sanitize shower stalls during closures, NOT between users.
- Lockers are available for daily use AND semester locker rentals.
- Fitness rooms will be locked unless a PE class or fitness class is taking place
