FAQ
Who is eligible to play?Intramural Sports is FREE for Current NIC Students, Faculty, and Staff. "NIC Student" is defined as a Full Time or Part Time student. Prior to participation, individuals must complete a waiver at the SWRC Front Desk or by creating an IMLeagues account. Dual Credit students must be members of the SWRC if they wish to participate in Rec Sports. A waiver signed by a parent is needed in order to participate.
How do I create an IMLeagues account?
Students, Faculty, and Staff need to go to imleagues.com/NIC to create an account. Participants must use their NIC email to register. Participants also can download the FREE mobile app (called IMLeagues) that can be found on the App Store & Google Play Store. From there you can signup and create/join teams.
What is the difference between Intramural Sports & Rec Sports?
Intramural Sports offers Individual and Team Sports/Activities. League offerings include Co-Rec, Men's, Women's and Open League. Co-Rec Leagues have a gender ratio rule (2 men and 2 women on a team), whereas Open League does not have a gender ratio requirement.
Rec Sports is a wide variety of 1-day tournaments. Tournament offerings include Ping Pong, Pool, Video game, Cornhole, and Spikeball. These offerings are best when students, faculty, and staff signup prior to start date.
When are the games scheduled?Games are scheduled in the afternoons and will be scheduled Monday - Thursday. Each season varies and can have one to two games per week. The top of team sign up sheets will list the days planned for games. Game schedules will be posted on the imleagues.com/NIC page.
What are the Intramural Sports Policies?
Campus Recreation wants its participants to be aware of rules and what is expected of teams when they arrive to their scheduled game. Intramural Sport Leagues will have a Captain's meeting prior to the beginning of the league. For more information regarding policies, please look at the Recreational Sports Student Handbook.
