Calculations
This eight-hour, code-related Continuing Education class will satisfy CEU requirements for electricians in Idaho and Washington. Topics covered include proper use of tables in the National Electric Code, calculation methods for motor circuits, fault currents, conductor sizing, overcurrent protection, motor installations, transformer sizing, and load calculations, among other topics. Emphasis is placed on using and interpreting NEC requirements for these calculations. Bring your copy of the 2020 NEC and a calculator to class. Topics include the purpose of grounding and its operations systems, grounding versus circuit grounding, location of grounding connection, enclosure grounding, equipment grounding, methods of grounding, bonding of services, and transformers.
