Introduction to TIG Welding
This course is designed to teach the basic skills of gas tungsten arc welding. You will learn the principle set up of TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding equipment; proper tungsten selection and shielding gases for this welding process; and the correct welding parameters for the material to be welded. You will also be taught how to weld in different positions for different varieties of weld joints using cold-rolled steel and aluminum sheet metal. If you have your own TIG welder and would like to learn on it you are more than welcome to bring it along as well. Students provide their own personal protective clothing, including welding jacket or cotton overalls, gauntlet-style welding gloves, and clear safety glasses.

Introduction to Stick Welding (SMAW)
Gain fundamental skills in structural steel welding. Techniques that you learn will be welding and safe practices for Stick Welding (SMAW). Students provide their own personal protective clothing, including welding jacket or cotton overalls, gauntlet-style welding gloves, and clear safety glasses.

Intro to Torch Cutting
If you want to learn or just need some extra practice this course will cover the basics for oxygen/acetylene torch cutting giving you ample time for practicing to develop your skills. You will also have an opportunity to test out plasma torch cutting. Practice makes perfect. Join us as we strive to help enhance your skills while having a lot of fun. If you already have your own OXY/FUEL setup and/or plasma cutter and want to learn to set it up and practice on your own equipment bring it along. Students provide their own personal protective clothing, including welding jacket or cotton overalls, gauntlet-style welding gloves, and clear Shade 5 safety glasses.

Flux-Cored Arc Welding Certification
Gain fundamental skills in structural steel welding. In this 50 hour course, you will learn techniques in oxygen and acetylene cutting and safe practices for flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), in all positions. Prepare for and perform two skills tests for American Welding Society (AWS) qualifications. Students provide their own personal protective clothing, including welding jacket or cotton overalls, gauntlet-style welding gloves, and clear safety glasses.

Welding Craft Basics
Learn fundamentals of metalworking while creating a simple, yet elegant sculpture. Explore metal separation and joining processes. Cut and weld a project that you will be proud of. This class will focus on oxy-fuel setup and safety and wire feed welding. Clear safety glasses are required for the first class session and at all times in the lab.
Required personal protective clothing will be discussed at the first session.

Blueprint Reading for Welders
This online welding course will teach you how to read, use, and make blueprints. You will discuss different types of welds, weld joints, and weld symbols. The course will also touch on advanced shop math and measurement skills.
