Becoming an Apprentice
Apprenticeship is a systematic training program that uses a combination of on-the-job training and related technical instruction to teach the skills of a trade or occupation. Apprentices usually work a regular forty-hour week, then attend classes in the evening or on weekends. Apprenticeship programs typically last four years and conclude with the opportunity to become a skilled journeyman in the trade.
NIC Workforce Training Center's Apprenticeship Programs are Registered Apprenticeships with the United States Office of Federal Apprenticeship and the State of Idaho.
