Hello (Name):
I’m writing to check in with you to see how your semester is going. Midterm is a great time to review your progress in each of your courses to see if there is anything you need to concentrate on to ensure a successful semester.
I’m available to meet with you (F2F, phone, email, Zoom…) if you have questions about your courses, how to access campus resources, are concerned about your progress, or need help planning your courses.
Email me at (your email) or call me at (your number). My office hours this semester can be viewed at (link to website).

Hi (Name)-
With mid-terms approaching next week, I wanted to take a moment to reach out and check in with you and share some tips for mid-term success!
As you approach mid-semester, I recommend that you connect with your instructors to discuss your status in class, areas in which you are doing well, and ways in which you can improve. Ask if they have any suggestions or referrals to help you do your best. A great time to do this is during instructor's office hours, which you can find in your course syllabus. If you have not visited office hours before, don't worry! Instructors set this time aside specifically for drop in conversations with their students to address questions or concerns.
I also encourage you to visit the Cardinal Learning Commons and participate in group tutoring, study groups, and any exam preps that you may find helpful! You can also participate in Night at the Library, where you can get tutoring, learn research techniques, and consult with the Writing Center for help refining midterm papers.
I also understand that midterms can be stressful, if you feel that you would like some additional support please reach out to NIC Counseling Services where you can receive no-cost therapeutic counseling.
And don't forget to schedule an advising appointment with me to plan your schedule prior to registration starting (insert dates). If you are unable to make an appointment before then, that is okay. Just schedule your advising appointment as soon as possible after registration opens to have the best chance of enrolling in the classes you prefer.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, I'm here to support you!
