Advising Services
Student Success Advisors in Advising Services specialize in advising new students pursuing an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree. Advisors will assist you in clarifying your academic goals, help you acquire relevant information and resources, and guide you in making intentional decisions consistent with your interests, goals, and program requirements.
We Advise. You Decide.
- New to NIC? Welcome! New students are encouraged to participate in our online New Student Orientation prior to advising and registration. After orientation, follow the simple steps in our new student advising program to get connected with an advisor and register for classes. If your academic/career goal is one of the more than 40 programs offered by NIC's Career and Technical Education (except pre-nursing), contact CTE (Annette Griffard (208) 769-3448) or the appropriate program advisor for advising assistance.
- Continuing Student? Contact your assigned faculty advisor directly to plan an advising session or, if your advisor is one of our Student Success Advisors in Advising Services, call (208) 769-7821 to schedule an appointment.
- Earning dual credit from NIC while in high school? Contact the Dual Credit office for advising assistance.
Advising is available at our Sandpoint Center. Please call (208) 263-4594 to make an appointment at this location.
