The TRIO Mentors Program is an exciting student-directed program. We select individuals based on experience, success, and growth as a student, as well as their passion to pass on that knowledge to other students. Our Mentors get to make a difference in the lives of other students, help build community, and get paid access to specialized training and opportunities. TRIO Mentors get to practice leadership skills in real-life settings. Our TRIO Mentors make a difference- in the lives of students, our campus, and our community while improving their own leadership and professional skill sets.

What do TRIO Mentors do?
- Walk alongside TRIO students in their academic and professional journey
- Work collaboratively with TRIO students to accomplish goals
- Help increase student confidence and academic performance
- Provide a role model for less experienced students
- Provide leadership for TRIO Club activities
- Create and lead a variety of student improvement workshops
- Build community
- Attend training events and develop leadership skills
