Cybersecurity Center

North Idaho College has developed this center to showcase different cybersecurity related programs and resources available to students and faculty.

North Idaho College has earned recognition as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education Two-Year (CAE2Y also known as CAE-CD). This program, which is sponsored by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), recognizes collegiate institutions who have met their standards of excellence in Information Assurance education.

Career Outlook

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook, job opportunities in the field of cyber security are expected to increase by 37% by 2022, which is much faster than average for all occupations. Demand for cyber security positions is expected to be very high as these analysts will be needed to come up with innovative solutions to prevent hackers from creating havoc on computer networks.
