Registration still open for inaugural NIC Color Fun Run
Posted: Tuesday, Aug 5, 2025

North Idaho College will host its inaugural NIC Color Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 23, and there’s still time to get in on the fun.
The event features a 5-kilometer color powder run through NIC’s Coeur d’Alene campus, where participants will be showered with colorful powder at various points along the route. The powder is made of cornstarch and can easily be washed out.
Registration for the NIC Color Fun is open now and same-day registration will be accepted. Registration is free for NIC students and individuals aged 18 and under. For all other participants, the registration fee is $20.
Each registration includes a T-shirt, bandanna and sunglasses while supplies last.
The fun run begins at 1 p.m.; check in at 10 a.m.
The fun run is not timed. Participants are encouraged to finish the event at any pace they are comfortable with. There will be an afterparty with a live DJ and food trucks on site.
"We are really excited to be able to invite the community to this event and bring people to our beautiful campus," NIC Marketing and Events Coordinator Elli Michael said. "This event should be a great time for all ages and the perfect way to spend a day with family or friends.”
Eligible participants will be entered into a drawing to win NIC scholarships.
