All currently* enrolled NIC students are assigned an advisor.

How to Find my Advisor

New students will be assigned an advisor based on their academic pathway or interest area. If no advisor is listed in your MyNIC yet, see the list of advisors below to learn which advisor to contact. When in doubt, contact Advising Services to get connected to the right person: advising@nic.edu or (208) 769-7821.

Log into MyNIC*
Select Self Service button on the left-hand side of the page.
Select Student Planning.
Select Go to Plan & Schedule.
Select the Advising tab. Your advisor will be listed under My Advisors.

If you are assigned to a faculty/program advisor you may find his/her contact information below or in the NIC Directory. If your advisor is listed as "Advising Services," please call (208) 769-7821 to set up an appointment with an advisor. See Additional Advising Resources.

Review the course offerings
Consider your other commitments for the semester
