Program Description
This program is designed for students who wish to pursue a professional career in music by providing the necessary background in music theory history and performance. Students also may pursue their musical interests as an avocation through the program. Music courses promote skills that prepare students for fields outside of music emphasizing communication literary physical technical and business skills.
There are no program prerequisites. Previous experience in high school or community music programs is helpful. Students interested in scholarships must audition and selection is based on performance grades and letters of recommendation.
