General Gunsmithing

Location: Workforce Training Center

Whether you are a novice or a seasoned gun owner, this comprehensive course will empower you to become a masterful AR-15 Armorer. This 40-hour AR-15 Armorer course is spread across three weekends. This curriculum is designed to cover the fundamentals of AR-15 assembly, disassembly, maintenance and troubleshooting, and customization. Each week consists of hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and practical exercises.

  • Students must be 18 years old or older and provide proof of age with a photo ID on the first day of class.
  • The AR-15 Armorer's course takes place in person at the North Idaho College Workforce Training Center in Post Falls, ID.
  • All tools and required materials are provided for this class.

What’s included in the course fee?

All students will keep course materials and gunsmithing tools valued at over $300. Take home tools include; an Armorers Wrench, Torque Wrench, Breaker Bar, and a Craftsman Tool Box with complete gunsmithing tool set.
